AusLSA Membership
Cornwall Stodart is a proud member of the Australian Legal
Sector Alliance (AusLSA), an industry-led
association whose mission is 'to work collaboratively to
promote sustainable practices across the legal sector'. It is a
national alliance that aims to involve legal professionals from a
wide spectrum of the industry.
AusLSA provides tools and resources to members to help them
implement programs and policies to reduce their environmental
impact. The organisation has a collaborative and inclusive approach
aimed at facilitating the development of best practice
sustainability guidelines for the Australian legal sector.
Members of AusLSA commit to the AusLSA Principles; as members of
AusLSA, we commit to:
- measuring, managing and reducing the environmental impact of
our operations
- working with external stakeholders to reduce our indirect
environmental impact
- integrating awareness of sustainability across our
business
- working collaboratively to engage in the public debate on
sustainability to develop, apply and promote best practice across
the sector
- reporting on our progress and being accountable.
The focus of the principles is to define and guide sustainable
practices of AusLSA members, and the wider Australian legal sector.
'Sustainability' extends to policies and practices relating to the
environment, together with those relating to individuals engaged in
the Australian legal sector, and those relating to community and
social engagement.
