Community Projects & Charities

As part of our commitment to the community, we regularly donate to various charities, not for profit organisations and community projects.

Our community support includes the following initiatives:

• Each month we nominate a charity to support, hold morning tea and all staff make a gold coin donation to the nominated charity. The charities we have supported include Beyond Blue, the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Movember and Genes for Jeans Day.
• Each year we hold an Annual Client Dinner, through which we raise funds to support not for profit organisations and community projects. This includes:
  • around $15,000 for Good Shepherd Youth & Family Services in 2010
  • over $30,000 for Good Shepherd Youth & Family Services, which was redirected by Michael Yore of Good Shepherd to the Red Cross for the Black Saturday Bush Fire Appeal in 2009
  • $14,000 donated to Open Family Australia in 2008
  • over $13,000 donated to Save the Children in 2007.
• Our firm and our people donate annually to the Smith Family Christmas Toy Appeal.
• We support other charities and causes on an as needs basis.

In addition, we have established a working group to develop and refine our community initiatives. The team is implementing new systems and processes to achieve that goal and enhance our community support.
