Madeline is a banking and finance lawyer with diverse knowledge and broad experience in acting for alternate financiers and private lenders in the realm of property finance, construction, receivables, trade and working capital finance. Madeline also has experience in advising on the application of the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (Cth) and the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).

Experience
Madeline’s recent experience includes:
- acting for a developer in respect of an $800 million senior and mezzanine property finance restructure;
- acting for a borrower in connection with a $140 million financing restructure;
- acting for various alternate financiers on property financing matters, including negotiating and preparing loan and security documents valued between $5 million to $50 million;
- acting for one of Australia’s largest receivables finance lenders on various receivable finance, trade finance, and working capital finance deals valuing up to $25 million;
- acting for private financiers in respect of loan and securities for bilateral, syndicated and construction transactions up to $50 million;
- acting for a private property lender on various property financing deals valued between $2 million to $15 million;
- drafting subordination and intercreditor deeds and advising on priority arrangements, including negotiating these arrangements with senior and mezzanine lenders;
- advising on mortgage, registration and priority issues in connection with the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (Cth);
- acting for financiers in respect of registration of security interests on the Personal Property Securities Register and managing settlements on PEXA;
- assisting in the rewrite of 2 major alternate financier’s precedent document suites in relation to recent updates to unfair contract terms legislation; and
- advising on compliance issues in connection with the National Credit Code.
