Peter's clients value his ability to
identify issues quickly and his practical approach to solving any
problems. His practice focuses on property law and, in particular,
estate planning.
His expertise covers dealing with
complex wills and estate issues and he advises on estate planning
and business succession. His clients include individuals, public
and private companies and statutory authorities, and he has
particular experience in managing the affairs of high net worth
individuals.
Peter also has expertise in general
property law and acts for a range of individuals and businesses,
including vendors, purchasers and landlords. His expertise covers
the acquisition and disposition of all types of property, including
leasehold, commercial, freehold, residential and developments. He
is experienced with matters involving adverse possession and title
disputes. He also advises property developers on broad-acre and
multi unit developments for both residential and commercial
use.
Experience
Peter's experience includes:
- acting for Developments DG in the acquisition of a multi storey
city building
- acting for purchasers in various acquisitions of strip shopping
centres
- negotiating and managing the sale of the nation-wide property
and infrastructure components of a sale of a freight handling
business
- advising Global Port Solutions on infrastructure, freight
handling and right to use facilities for an anticipated major
development in the Northern Territory
- negotiating and drafting complex leases and sub-leases
for many businesses, including those required to effect the
relocation of both CAE and DSV Air & Sea Pty Ltd.
Pro bono and Community Work
Peter is the honorary treasurer and long standing committee
member of the Northcote Cycling Club, and is also a life member of
the Northern Combine Road Cycling Committee.
In addition, he is a former committee member of the John Street
Community Child Care facility.
He has given his time and expertise freely to those
organisations, as he has done for religious orders such as the St
Columbans Mission Society and the FCJ order of religious
sisters.
