Cornwall Stodart Annual Dinner helps Bush Fire Appeal
Last night, more than 200 key clients and stakeholders joined
Cornwall Stodart partners and staff for our Annual Dinner. The
night was a great success. We raised more than $30,000 on behalf of
Good Shepherd Youth and Family Services. Michael Yore of Good
Shepherd, however, redirected the funds to The Red Cross for the
Black Saturday Bushfire Appeal.
Now in its sixth year, our Annual Dinner (previously known as
our Key Client Dinner) aims to recognise and thank clients and
stakeholders for their ongoing support, as well as providing
networking opportunities for attendees.
This year's event was held at the Docklands. Guests enjoyed a
three course meal and drinks, as well as entertainment and a
charity auction and raffle. Well known radio commentator Ian Cover
was Master of Ceremonies and Brad Sewell spoke after dinner, with
the assistance of Bruce Growcott (and ultimately the Hawthorn
Football Club). Phil de Fegely was auctioneer and there is no doubt
his expertise lifted the amount of money raised.
Darren Trott (Zurich) provided a first
hand account of the destruction caused by the recent bushfires,
having undertaken an assessment visit to Kinglake that day. We
thank Michael Yore for his generosity in directing the funds raised
to the Black Saturday Bushfire Appeal.
Feedback from attendees confirms the night was again a great
success, and indicates our Annual Dinner gets better every
year.
