David Moore appointed to INTA committee
We are delighted to announce that David
Moore has been appointed to the East Asia & Pacific
Subcommittee of the Famous & Well-Known Marks Committee
(FWKMC). His appointment is for the 2012 - 2013
committee term at the International Trademark Association
(INTA).
INTA is a not-for-profit membership
association dedicated to the support and advancement of trade marks
and related intellectual property as elements of fair and effective
commerce. Its activities include research, policy development,
education and training. Currently, 5,900 trade mark owners,
professionals and academics from over 190 countries make up the
INTA network.
INTA committees shape, support and
advance trade marks and related intellectual property. The FWKMC
valuates treaties, laws, regulations and procedures relating to
protection for famous and well-known marks, and develops and
advocates policies and positions to advance balanced protection of
those marks.
David's appointment is effective
beginning January 1, 2012. Participation on an INTA committee
offers a unique and rewarding opportunity to contribute to the
advancement of the INTA's objectives, network among peers and raise
visibility within the international trade mark community. We
are pleased that David will be actively involved in these
endeavours.
Congratulations David! We look forward
to seeing what you bring to your new role.
