Gino Potenza appointed to LIV Commercial Litigation Law Advisory Committee

Cornwall Stodart would like to congratulate Gino Potenza, Partner, on his appointment as a member of the Law Institute of Victoria's (LIV) Commercial Litigation Law Advisory Committee for Commercial Litigation Specialists (Committee). His initial appointment is for a period of three years.

The role of the Committee is to assist and advise the LIV Specialisation Board on the administration of the Commercial Litigation Specialisation Scheme. Its duties include advising on the conditions for gaining and maintaining accreditation, application procedures, assessment procedures, accreditation of candidates, suspension and revocation of accreditation and continuing professional development.

Gino is a LIV accredited Commercial Litigation Specialist with over 20 years' experience in dispute resolution, focusing on the banking and finance industry. He has also completed the LEADR course in mediation.

His areas of expertise include commercial litigation and dispute resolution, banking, property law, securities, consumer credit, insolvency, and particularly the enforcement of securities and contractual agreements. He has assisted a number of financial institutions in developing recovery procedures, training manuals and compliance audits under the Consumer Credit Laws.
