Jamie Bedelis, Election as Chairman of LIV Committee

Cornwall Stodart would like to congratulate Jamie Bedelis, a Senior Associate of our firm, on his recent election as Chairman of the Law Institute of Victoria's (LIV) Property and Environmental Law Section Leases Committee (Committee).

Jamie has been a member of the Committee for over two years and looks forward to commencing his position as Chairman, a two year appointment for the years 2011 and 2012.

He is a valued member of our firm and has deep experience in advising landlords and tenants on complex commercial leasing transactions. His expertise covers resolving commercial leasing disputes and advising on general property transactions, and he is an Accredited Specialist of the LIV in Commercial Tenancy Law. We have no doubt he has much to offer the Committee in his new role.

The Committee acts as an advisory body to the LIV and its members in relation to leasing matters. Work performed by the Committee includes proposing amendments to legislation and preparing guidance notes and publications for the LIV.
