Lunch with the Honourable Tim Pallas MP

Cornwall Stodart today hosted a lunch for the Minister for Roads and Ports, the Honourable Tim Pallas MP. Minister Pallas presented to our Transport & Logistics team, as well as a number of our clients in the industry. His central theme was the Government's Victoria Transport Plan. 

His presentation gave us an insight into the Government's objectives for major road networks in and around Melbourne, such as the new alternative to the West Gate Freeway, the Peninsula Link, the Hoddle Street Separation, and the Western Ring Road widening. The Minister also considered major regional road upgrades, including the Green Triangle network. 

Guests then had the opportunity to discuss issues affecting the industry, such as the benefits of the introduction of 30-metre HPFV 77.5 tonne trucks and their permitted routes as proposed in the Victoria Transport Plan.

An interesting and enlightening day for all involved!
