Peter McMullin elected President of VECCI
We would like to congratulate Peter McMullin, a Consultant of
our firm, on his election as the new President of the Victorian
Employers' Chamber of Commerce and Industry
(VECCI).
Peter is a Director of the McMullin Group of Companies, a former
Mayor of the City of Greater Geelong and a former Deputy Lord Mayor
of the City of Melbourne. He has been Deputy President of VECCI
since 2003. His diverse and high profile career includes 25 years'
experience in running a legal practice and he has also been engaged
in various prominent community and organisational leadership roles,
has high level expertise in commercial and financial management,
and is an experienced consultant and mediator across the public and
private sectors.
Peter brings to our firm - and our clients - his expertise in
strategy, planning and business development, his networks in
political, business and community circles, and his commitment to
connecting our clients with the right people. We have no doubt he
will continue to be a valued asset to both our firm and VECCI, and
will achieve great things in his new role as President.
Among his many achievements, Peter has also been elected to the
Board of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry
(ACCI) and will chair its Employment, Education
and Training Committee. He is also currently the President of the
Geelong Art Gallery and a Board Member of the Geelong Performing
Arts Centre Trust. In 2003, Peter was awarded the Centenary
Medal.
Congratulations again Peter. We look forward to seeing what you
bring to your new role.
