Appeal against changes to the General Retail Industry Award 2010
The Shop, Distribution and Allied Employees Association
(SDA) has lodged an appeal against the draft
determination brought by the National Retail Association to vary
the General Retail Industry Award 2010 to enable school students to
work shorter casual shifts, granted by Fair Work Australia
(FWA) on 20 June 2011. The SDA, Australia's
largest trade union, will make an appeal to FWA against this
decision tomorrow under s604 of the Fair Work Act 2009 -
Appeal of Decisions.
