My four week clerkship at Cornwall Stodart was a thoroughly rewarding and exciting experience. It began with a three day induction, during which I was exposed to the culture, history and operations of the firm.

I then spent two weeks in the Commercial Property group, where I
gained skills in and knowledge of property law. I was involved in a
number of different matters including the sale and lease of land,
planning and environment law, and wills and estates. Following
this, I spent two weeks in Employment & Industrial Relations,
where I worked on several interesting matters. The two practice
group rotations enabled me to gain a solid overview of the firm. We
were also invited to attend the weekly Legal Professional and
Business Development seminars, which were a great source of support
and learning.
The culture, atmosphere and staff of Cornwall Stodart made my
time extremely enjoyable and rewarding. The firm encourages a
holistic life that balances a solid work ethic with various social
and fitness activities. This encouragement was an outstanding
feature of my clerkship.
I would highly recommend any student to undertake a clerkship at
Cornwall Stodart. My time with the firm gave me an invaluable
practical learning experience in a fantastic workplace.
