Working at Cornwall Stodart
Our people are the very core of our success. Our values, the way
we treat our clients and each other are key components in creating
our culture. We believe our people thrive best when they are
supported by their working environment and are encouraged to
develop themselves and make a valuable contribution to the
firm.

Our People
We believe it is critical for our people to be fully engaged in
what they are doing and this is a key to our mutual success in the
areas of Our People, Our Clients
and Our Community.
To create a great place to work where our people are inspired
and encouraged to be the best they can be, we have developed a
number of key initiatives:
- Induction - To ensure a thorough introduction
to the firm, all staff undergo a comprehensive induction program
which includes an introduction to everyone in the office, training
on our systems and procedures, as well as an overview of our
library and research facilities, our document database and
precedents.
- Ongoing Learning - Apart from on-the-job
learning, all staff are encouraged to attend weekly Enhancing
Success Program (ESP) seminars on topics relevant
to their positions. These are in-house seminars conducted under the
supervision of senior associates and partners on various topics of
law and legislative changes, as well as other topics about our
operations. We also invite external speakers to present
seminars.
- Annual Employee Engagement Survey - To
ascertain the level of satisfaction and engagement of employees and
use these results to identify and drive positive change within the
firm.
- Comprehensive Leadership & Development
Program - To encourage and develop our people at all
levels. This is an integrated and strategic program which reflects
the values of the firm. Our firm incorporates:
- Leadership Training
- Mentoring Program
- Legal Training
- Postgraduate Study - Cornwall Stodart supports all lawyers in
undertaking postgraduate studies relevant to their respective areas
of practice.
- Technology Training - All interested staff are encouraged to
attend our weekly Technology Training sessions to help them work
more efficiently.
- Travel Opportunities - As a member of ALFA
International, a legal network comprising over 130 member law firms
with nearly 300 offices throughout the world, there is potential
for our lawyers and graduates to be seconded to firms across the
ALFA International network.
- Health & Wellbeing Program - We have a
number of existing initiatives for all staff to promote general
health and wellbeing. In addition to our core program, we
incorporate a variety of seasonal programs designed to appeal to -
and benefit - all staff.
