With a mission to reduce client risk, Paul applies his experience and technical expertise in forensic and insolvency matters to reliably deliver focused solutions.
This is done by Paul drawing upon over 25 years as a law firm partner, commercial experience from various board appointments, and qualifications, which include an MBA, specialist accreditation in commercial litigation, and a master’s degree in law.
As well as appearing as an advocate in many matters, Paul is honoured to be a Fellow of, and contribute to, the work of the peak insolvency body, ARITA.
Experience
Paul’s experience includes:
- Acting in all forms of corporate and personal insolvency matters
- Forensic and investment investigations and litigation
- Cross boundary disputes
- Advising and acting in disputes regarding misuse of confidential information, breach of director, or senior officer, duties, and breach of trust matters
- Acting in competition law matters
- Advising high wealth individuals, their businesses and family enterprises
Pro Bono And Community Work
Paul has contributed to the community, and the insolvency profession, for over 25 years, by:
- Presenting at various conferences, webinars and in-house training and education sessions
- Assisting with ARITA training courses for insolvency practitioners
Paul also participates in community and commercial boards including as a:
- Member, and a period the chair, of the Discipline and Review Committee of Football Queensland Limited (i.e. Soccer QLD)
- Committee member and past President of Epic Employment Service Inc. (a disability-based supported employment organisation)
- Appointee to the Commonwealth/State government advisory board for the Queensland Blind Workshop
- Member of ITSA/IPAA (now AFSA) Liaison Committee (QLD) regarding personal insolvency regulation and practice
- Director of QIBC Industries Ltd (a not for profit organisation employing people with disabilities)
- Member of the management committee of Aid for the Blind Inc. (now Link Vision)
